To improve wiring capacity and to allow for more conduit lines and electrical wire, Extension Ring is added to junction boxes. This ring eliminates the requirement for removing outdated conduit boxes and wire from circuits when more capacity is required. In order to accommodate a weatherproof box's increased fill needs, this Extension Ring is used. It is used to elevate the floor drain's waterproofing connection so that it is level with the floor surface where the waterproofing layer will be placed during casting.
